Midwinter Time Again

Well, today I make my annual pilgrimage to Chicago and the Covenant Midwinter Conference. I am looking forward to it this year because this is the first time that I am going as a pastor with a church. Last year I felt like a pastor, but no church. The years before that I was a seminarian.

This conference is always a good time because we get to see our friends who are in ministry/seminary and see where they have been in the past year.

You Might Be From The City If. . .

Your two churches call you to cancel on a Sunday with 7 inches of snow. A month later you call and they do not cancel church on Sunday on account of 5 inches of snow.

Talk about trying to figure things out! All groups of people, work groups, elected officials, churches, families all have tolerances--you are alright until a certain point, but it is trying to find those balances that takes work and learning.

Happy New Year!
